Louisa, Ky. — Former Major League Baseball and Louisa native Chandler Shepherd will have a meet and greet at the Louisa Public Library Thursday evening.
The event will take place on July 16th at 6:00 with Shepherd receiving the ‘Gem of the Big Sandy’ Award. After the ceremony you will be able to receive an autograph and get your picture taken with the former Big Leaguer.
Shepherd is a 2011 graduate of Lawrence County High school and was drafted in the 13th round by the Boston Red Sox after spending three years in Lexington pitching for the University of Kentucky.
