Tonight, the 2026 LCHS seniors were recognized with numerous scholarships and accolades, and we offer them our sincerest congratulations. We appreciate the many colleges and universities, the Army National Guard, and local businesses and organizations that supported our students during the awards ceremony.
We especially thank the Hutch Auto Group of Paintsville, KY, for awarding LCHS Senior Emily Moore a FREE Chevy Malibu. Emily met the GPA and attendance standards, and submitted an essay detailing the impact a car would have on her future goals.
In asking Emily, what this amazing gift means to her, she was emotional but shared, “Everything really. I mean my whole future depended on this. I really just don’t know what to think. This is just so much.” She continued to elaborate that her plans include enrolling at ACTC for a 2 month certification class in Phlebotomy and to enter into the workforce after completion.
We wish Emily and all of our seniors the very best in all their future endeavors! Tonight was an amazing evening that set the stage for the upcoming LCHS Graduation Ceremony set for Friday, May 29th at 7 PM! Make plans to attend and support the LCHS Class of 2026!
