LAWRENCE CO., KY MAN ARRESTED IN JOHNSON COUNTY, KY. ON ASSAULT & ENDANGERMENT CHARGES AFTER GOING ON CRIMINAL TIRADE IN SERIES OF INCIDENTS
SUSPECT WAS IN FULL ‘DRINKY CROW’ STATE OF MIND

A Lawrence County, Kentucky man is facing several charges, including second-degree assault, after a recent series of incidents in Johnson County. KY.
While en route to the caller’s residence, the citation said, deputy Marsillett saw a Ford F-150 pickup truck matching the description of the one involved in the call and conducted a traffic stop on it.
The arrest citation report said deputy Marsillett made contact with Dallas Cantrell, who smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage and would not perform field sobriety tests.
Brian Cantrell, the citation said, became increasingly irate with deputy Marsillett and Paintsville Police Department officer Justin Jackson, threatening to fight both of the officers.
The arrest citation report further said Brian Cantrell became combative and attempted to kick deputy Marsillett when the deputy attempted to get him into a police cruiser.
The arrest report added that Brian Cantrell continued to be combative once in the cruiser, laying across the rear seat and attempting to kick out the window, leading to the deployment of OC pepper spray in order to gain Brian Cantrell’s compliance.
Brian Cantrell was transported to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville; and deputy Marsilett wrote in the end of the arrest citation report that he returned to the residence, where he learned that Brian Cantrell had attempted to run over one individual with his vehicle and had run over another person’s foot.
Brian Cantrell was charged with:
*OPERATNG MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL .08 (189A.010(1A) – 1ST OFFENSE (AGGRAVATING CIRCUMSTANCES);
*FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE;
*RESISTING ARREST;
*ASSAULT, 2ND DEGREE;
*WANTON ENDANGERMENT-2ND DEGREE;
*DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 1ST DEGREE;
*MENACING;
*TERRORISTIC THREATENING, 3RD DEGREE;
*CRIMINAL TRESPASSING-2ND DEGREE.
