First Methodist Church of Louisa has a ministry they have been doing for the last few years.

During the 40 days of Lent we have a Lenten devotion, Food for the Hungry- Food for the Soul, with a different Bible reading each day and a particular food item for that day. The food is collected during Lent and brought to the church and placed on the altar until Easter Sunday.

The food items are then delivered to God’s Food Pantry in Louisa.
