Road Closure Scheduled on KY 1 in Lawrence County for Pipe Replacement

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (March 16, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 12 advises motorists of a temporary daytime road closure on KY 1 in Lawrence County beginning Tuesday, March 17, for a pipe replacement.
Maintenance crews will replace a drainage pipe at mile point 3.13 on KY 1. In order to complete the work, crews will need to cut across the entire roadway to install the new pipe, requiring a full closure at the work site during working hours.
