April 25, 1930 — January 31, 2026

Royetta (Hammond) Maynard, 95, of Louisa, KY passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving children.
She was born on April 25, 1930 to the late Grady and Cosby (James) Hammond. In addition to her parents, Royetta was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Paul Bill Maynard, Sr.; her son Michael L. Maynard; grandson Bruce Neal Compton; her sisters Infant Peggy Hammond, Garnett Maynard, and Wanda Cox; her brothers Charles “Bub” Hammond, Jack Hammond, and Earl Hammond; and son in law Glen Wellman.
She is survived by her children Sue Wellman, Janie (Larry) Compton, Paul Bill (Linda) Maynard, Rita (Bill) Frazier, Donald G. Maynard, and Melinda Maynard (Norman McClure); her grandchildren Angela Bowers, Phillip (Sherry) Compton, Ben (Amy) Maynard, Lauren (Erick) Cline, Benjamin (April) Frazier, Teresa (Cruz) Smith, Amanda Maynard (Zack Blevins), Kayla Maynard (Timmy Tussey), Michael (Courtney) Maynard, and Trevor (Tessa) Maynard; great grandchildren Amara and Ivy Jane Bowers, Alex and Avery Maynard, Jack, Harper, Grady and Foster Cline, Madison Frazier, Will, Lilly, Grant and Max Goble, Camren Christian, Logan Maynard, Bentley and Jaxon Clark, Laurel, Dylan, and Bennett Maynard; and one great great grandson Sawyer Bowers Hayward.
Royetta was a Christian for 73 years. She loved doing needlepoint, quilting, reading, puzzle books, and sitting on the front porch. Most of all she loved and was so proud of each and every one of her family.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Frazier and Greg Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in Hammond Cemetery. Her grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit the family Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of service in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Maynard and her family.
