INCIDENT HAPPENED NEAR MIDNIGHT MONDAY-TUESDAY MORNING

THE PIRATE BEARDED BURGLAR: CHAD LUCAS BAISDEN, 30, OF KERMIT, WEST VIRGINIA, WAS ARRESTED LATE MONDAY NIGHT, JANUARY 19, IN LOUISA, KENTUCKY.
A Mingo County, West Virginia man was arrested after getting caught burglarizing an apartment in Lawrence County, Kentucky
 
Chad Lucas Baisden, 30, of Kermit, West Virginia; was arrested in Louisa, Kentucky following a reported incident at an apartment complex.
 
According to the uniform arrested citation, the incident occurred on Monday, January 19, 2026 at approximately 11:13 P.M. at 75 Gene Wilson Boulevard, Apartment 1000. The arrest was made shortly after at approximately 11:33 P.M. at the same location.
 
Patrolwoman Shelby Taylor is listed as the Louisa Police Department. Chad Baisden was charged with:
• BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE.
 
Chad Lucas Baisden was transported to, booked and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, KY in Johnson County; where he remains incarcerated as of Wednesday evening, January 21.
