Westwood, Ky. — In the Fairview Invitational Classic Tolsia ( 1-1 ) took care of the host Eagles 63-45 on Saturday afternoon at George Cook Memorial Gymnasium.

Tolsia jumped out to an early lead and led by 30 points at one point in the game before costing to the win.

Senior Dakota Blackburn poured in a career high 27 points and was named the MVP of the game. Freshman Steeler Salmons hit 5 three pointers and finished with 15 points, Sophomore Kyndul Kincaid added 12 points, Sophomore Keeton Blackburn netted 5 points, Senior Landon Spence had 4 points, Sophomore Braylen Conn chipped in with 2 points.
The Rebels hit 8 three pointers and went 5 of 8 from the free throw line.

“… We shot a lot better tonight than we did against Wayne. We moved the ball and had a better shot selection as well. We are young and gonna make mistakes but overall it was a great effort from everyone.”
“… A lot of people underestimate Dakota Blackburn and we decided to use his strength and get to the backboards he really took over the game. His third quarter was something to see. Steeler Salmons knocking down five three pointers helped open up the lane as well. We are coming along and much improved for our second game.”
