Back on August 26th in Olive Hill the Comets swept the Bulldogs 3-0 by the scores of 25-17, 25-9 and 25-19.

Lawrence Co. will bring a 9-14 record into tonight’s 6:00 matchup with Floyd Central who is 13-12 on the season.

The two teams just met on October 13th with the Jaguars winning a very competitive contest 3-0 with the scores being 25-16, 25-21 and 25-23. Floyd Central was 2-0 against Lawrence Co. this season.

In the other semifinal at 7:30 it will be Betsy Layne who is 18-15 and Prestonburg with a 7-16 record. The two teams met four times in the regular with the Bobcats winning all four matches.

The Championship game is set for Tuesday night at 6:30.

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Gabby and Brylee have been exceptional seniors, consistently leading by example both on and off the court. They always prioritize the team as well as bring unwavering support and enthusiasm to every role they take on. They embody the culture we strive every year to build. Gabby and Brylee are coachable, give their best effort daily, and truly want others around them to succeed. I am so proud of their growth and am excited for their future!”

“… In our district, any team can come out on top on any given night. If we stay true to our style of play and attack, we will win. The open competition makes this district tournament especially exciting!”
