She graduated from Business College in Columbus, Ohio, and worked in that area for several years. Throughout her life, she worked with her businesses of Lee Enterprises which included management of rental properties and trading of antiques and collectibles.
Venda Lee served her community as a former board member of the Louisa United Methodist Church, and volunteer with the Lawrence County Food Pantry and Humane Society. She enjoyed singing and listening to classical and choir music and was a faithful member of the Hilltop Methodist Church congregation.
In addition to her parents, Venda Lee was preceded in death by her sister, Marsha Lynn Moore Whites, and husbands Harry Morris Akers, Russell J. Dobyns, and Richard S. Lyon.
She is survived by her nephew, Reginald John David Whites and his wife, Ami; a great-niece Jade Marcum (Connor); great-nephews Dean, Wyatt, and Billy Whites; great-great nephews David and Ariael Marcum; and cousins Marcella Browning, Dr. Ben Browning (Heather), all of Louisa, and Melissa Kowal (David) of Jamestown, North Carolina. Memories of Venda Lee will also be celebrated by her lifelong friend, Susie Hale, of Flatwoods, Kentucky and special friends, Dan and Linda Evans of Morriston, Florida.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11th , 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Cemetery West, Louisa, with Rev. Seth Evans of Springfield, Ohio, officiating.
