A Time to be Thankful
As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a good time to stop and think about all the things to be thankful for. Life can get busy or hard, and we forget the blessings that are all around each of us. This year, take a moment to think about the good things in your life. For me that means my husband, our daughters and son-in-law, our grandsons, and my mother that I will gather around the table with this holiday season.
As the Superintendent of Lawrence County Schools, I also know that there is so much to be thankful for. First, I am grateful for our students. They bring energy and potential to our schools every day. They are the future! I am also thankful for our teachers and staff. They work so hard to help students learn and grow. Their care and dedication make a difference in the lives of our students.
I am also grateful for the strong support our schools get from families and the Lawrence County community. It takes everyone working together to make our schools better. Whether it’s helping in the classroom, making donations, or offering support, the kindness from our community makes a huge impact on kids.
As we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, I encourage you to think about your own blessings. Being thankful is not just about what we have, but also about how we help others. When we share kindness and help those in need, we make our community stronger and we build the future of home.
On behalf of everyone at Lawrence County Schools, we wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Let’s remember to be thankful for the good things we have and for the chance to make a difference in the lives of others.
