
Louisa, Ky. — After getting shutout last Friday the Lawrence County Bulldogs look to bounce back with a trip Letcher Co. Central to open up District play.

Bulldog QB Luke Fetherolf went 15 of 19 passing for 101 yards and one interception.
Cameron Castle was the leading receiver with 3 catches for 37 yards, Carlo Chicko hauled in 3 passes for 23 yards, Andrew Ratcliff 2 catches for 22 yards, Gray Derifield 4 receptions for 10 yards, Colton McDowell 2 for 8 yards, Cavin Williams 1 for 1 yard.
Leading rusher was Fetherolf with 45 yards on 8 carries, Chandler Preece 3 for 13 yards, Cavin Williams 4 for 12 yards, Mitchell Frazier 2 for 4 yards, Gray Derifield 1 rush for 2 yards.
Carlo Chicko was once again outstanding on the defensive side of the ball with 19 tackles, Cameron Castle had 12 tackles, Chandler Preece and Gray Derifield with 9 tackles each, Andrew Ratcliffe and Aiden Patton 5 tackles each, Beau Blair had 4 tackles.
Braxton Davis had an interception and Hayden Thomas was credited with a QB sack.
This is a huge matchup for the Dawgs and should determine the top seed in Class 3A District 8.
The Cougars of Letcher Co. Central comes in with a record of 3-2 and this will be their first ever game in Class 3A District 8 after dropping down a classification this season.
The Cougars rely on the passing game to do a lot of their damage offensively, but don’t discount the run game.
They are led by QB Gunner Holbrook who has thrown for 836 yards and 12 touchdowns with only 2 interceptions. Mason Stephens has caught 13 passes for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns, Jett Outlaw 11 catches for 245 yards and 3 touchdowns, Colton Stidham 14 receptions for 180 yards and 4 touchdowns.
The leading rusher is Garrett Howard with 7 touchdowns and 286 yards, Brett Sturgill 3 touchdowns and 215 yards.
