The Lawrence County Public Library Board of Trustees Meeting was on Monday September 8, 2025 at 12PM at the Lawrence County Public Library, 102 W. Main Street, Louisa, Kentucky 41230. Lawrence County Public Library Director Deena Meade was in attendance along with the Board of Trustees Lyndsay Smith, Lynn Perry, JoJo Triplett, Connie Fairchild and Andie Mattox. Also in attendance was Josh Puckett the New Library Lawyer.
APPROVE AUGUST 2025 MINUTES
The August 2025 Minutes were unanimously approved with a Motion by Connie Fairchild and seconded by JoJo Triplett.
CLARIFICATION OF JUNE 2025 MEETING MINUTES
Library Lawyer Josh Puckett said, “I want to clarify that the tax rate set on the budget can’t be done in June. The Budget is first then the tax rate.” He said the wrong action was taken in June but this will correct that.

DISCUSSION OF CITY NATIONAL PAYROLL ACCOUNT
Everyone was in discussion about the Library’s City National Payroll Account. After a year of Director Meade being able to use the account, now she can’t, she said. The Board decided to change signature cards on the account and add Deena Meade, Vickie Sammons and Lynn Perry. Motion was made by Andie Mattox and seconded by JoJo Triplett.
ENTER INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR DISCUSSION OF EMPLOYEE CORRECTIVE ACTION
The Board met privately (15 minutes).
RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION
Motion by Lynn Perry and seconded by Connie Fairchild. Newly hired Library Board Attorney Josh Puckett announced The Board has ‘decided no action be taken’.
