Dear Editor,
I have lived in Eastern Kentucky my entire life and have seen first hand the impacts of lack of healthcare providers in these areas. Seeing these impacts made me want to become a provider.
If EKU had a College of Osteopathic Medicine, I would go in a heartbeat. Being a pre-med student at EKU has given me the stepping stones for my future career. I want to give back to my hometown by becoming a breast oncology provider. As an advocate for better access to healthcare, this program could open the doors to improve rural communities health, give more opportunities for students and help people get the access to care that they need.
Currently, there are only 3 medical schools in the Commonwealth. Adding another program just ensures that students actually are able to follow their dreams and not have to limit themselves due to limited spots and resources.
This initiative only has positive impacts on our region and state. The more opportunities students have to be able to achieve their educational goals, the more our communities can be elevated from the healthcare crisis.
Sincerely,
Kassidy Burke
Student, Eastern Ky. Univ.

Hi there, just was alert to your blog via Google, and located that
it is really informative. I am going to watch out for brussels.
I’ll appreciate in the event you proceed this in future.
Lots of people will probably be benefited from your writing.
Cheers!
Unquestionably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the internet the simplest
thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people think about worries that they just do not know
about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined
out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
