Summary: Joint agency investigation leads to multiple arrests for drug trafficking charges.
From a residence on Lackey Avenue in Louisa. Following up on complaints from the community officers had been conducting an investigation into suspected drug trafficking for several months. On October 13, 2022 while conducting surveillance officers observed several individuals wanted on warrants of arrest going into the residence. When officers went to the residence to apprehend the wanted persons they observed items related to drug trafficking, that coupled with information already gathered during the investigation led to a search warrant being obtained for the residence. During the execution of the search warrant officers seized various amounts of suspected heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, suboxone and drug paraphernalia used in the trafficking of narcotics along with $3,567 in cash obtained from the sale of illegal drugs. This investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be forthcoming pending the results of the investigation.
The following suspects were taken into custody and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on Drug trafficking charges.
All are from the Louisa KY, Fort Gay WV area;
