Please join the Lawrence County Health Department and make lifestyle changes to live longer and healthier lives! The Diabetes Prevention Program uses CDC curriculum in support-group style meetings focusing on small, lasting lifestyle changes that can result in weight loss, increased physical activity, healthier eating choices, and preventing or delaying Type 2 Diabetes. Even when we know the healthier choices that we need to make, it’s hard! Together we can figure out triggers, stressors and ways to change our thinking to make those healthier choices easier. This class is a year long and you must enroll in the beginning to join. Next class begins Tuesday October 18 at 5PM at LC Heath Dept. We will meet weekly the first few months (skipping holidays, as needed, etc) then switch to monthly to finish. We can do this, together! Now is the time to make healthy changes alongside others with similar struggles. Get a full year of meetings and support! Call today!

Lets have more free feeding programs for all children. When Lawrence County runs out of noble causes we feed our children. Free meals year round. Filler up ! Ky #1 in childhood obesity.
You’re right. Kids don’t need food! Why should we feed children? Let them fend for themselves!
How about the parents who have these kids feed them. Like in the old days. If you cant feed your children, stop having them.
