COACH’S COMMENTS
“… So proud of our kids for the effort in the road Friday night. We had some unknowns going into the game because our second scrimmage was halted because the lights wouldn’t come on at KCU. Credit to those kids because they are football players and have played a lot of games in the past and didn’t let that bother them.
“… Our offensive line was superb all night long. Four returning starters and they were the real deal all game long. I thought Ryan Marcum, Cody Crum and Dylan Ferguson ran hard and did what they had to do. I thought our whole team came ready to play and were the most excited and condition team to play.”
“… On defense we did a great job led by Caden Ball, Ferguson, Crum and Kaden Gillispie among others flying around the field all night long.”
“… The kids have been working hard for over six weeks so ideally the bye week would be better during fall break but we will take it and get ready for homecoming week and get our minds right for Greenup Co. September 2nd.”
“ Also want to mention how our kids acted on the trip down and when we stopped at Cattleman’s Steakhouse to eat the kids were well behaved and drew and munch of compliments from the staff and that is something the parents and the ones that raised this kids should be proud of.”
