Well, here we go again.
After Lawrence County started out the month of September at an all time high of new day to day COVID-19 cases and active cases, after a lowering of new positive case numbers for the past 3 weeks, the numbers of positive cases are shooting up once again.
On Monday, September 27, the Lawrence County Health Department announced that there were 94 new Covid-19 positive cases in Lawrence County in the past four days, from September 24-27.
That is the second highest number of new cases in a reporting period for Lawrence County, which the highest was 96 cases reported for September 3-6, 2021.
Of the 94 new positive cases, 15 were breakthrough cases (meaning those who tested positive had already been fully vaccinated for the various coronavirus variants). Also four people of the new 94 cases had to be hospitalized.
The ages of the newest COVID-19 cases from a 3 month old infant, to all the way to a 93 year old. 82 of the 94 positive cases were individuals under the age of 60, with whom 31 cases were those under 18 (and two more who were 19 years old).
September 2021 has been the worst month for new coronavirus numbers in Lawrence County during the 18 months of the global pandemic; and there are still three days left in the month. Ii has been the latest rising wave of cases that began back in mid-July, after the end of spring brought both new positive and active cases numbers to near zero in June 2021, and through the beginning weeks of the summer.
An analysis of the COVID-19 case numbers for the past nearly four months shows how things went from a near standstill in the transmission rates in Lawrence County to the burning toll numbers that we have been going on the last several weeks.
* From June 1, 2021 to July 15, 2021; there were only 19 new COVID-19 cases in Lawrence County, with 2 deaths in that period. Twice there were zero new cases on June 14 and June 24, with only two active cases on June 21 and June 24.
* From July 16 to August 31, 2021; there were 368 new COVID-19 cases, with nearly 40 of those breakthrough cases, 2 deaths, and 105 active cases on August 31.
* From September 1 to September 27, 2021; there have been 487 new COVID cases, of which 55 were breakthrough cases. There have been 5 deaths and 14 have been 14 hospitalized. But active cases went from an all time high of 134 on September 6, down to 68 active cases on September 20, but back up to 112 cases for September 27.
For now, it appears that the total case numbers for Kentucky have been going down since early last week, but not so much for eastern Kentucky. As of Monday, 116 counties across the state are in the red zone on the state’s COVID-19 incidence rate map, including all but one county in the mountain counties of eastern Kentucky, with Magoffin County leading the state with an incidence rate of 168 per 100,000 people.
Governor Andy Bashear announced on Monday at his daily press conference that all across the board, numbers have gone down, but that this does not mean to let up on precautions.
Governor Beshear said that though they are going down, they are still too high.
“It is a good sign the numbers are going down,” said Governor Beshear. “We do need to go down a lot faster, though.”
Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,729 new COVID-19 cases in Kentucky on Monday. The Governor also announced 19 COVID-19 deaths, bringing the death toll to 8,579.
420 of Monday’s new cases were children 18 and younger. 2,045 Kentuckians remain hospitalized. 617 people remain in the ICU, with 399 on a ventilator. That is down from Friday’s total of 2,211 Kentuckians who were hospitalized, and 632 people who were in the ICU, with 429 on a ventilator. The governor on Friday reported 3,941 new COVID-19 cases in Kentucky, of which 1,094 of Friday’s cases were children under 18. Governor Beshear reported 26 COVID-19 deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 8,492. (which means that there were 68 COVID-19 deaths in Kentucky for this past weekend).
The state’s positivity rate is now 10.55%, down from the more than 14% positivity rate earlier this month
The state remains at 60% of all Kentuckians having received a vaccination. The 65-years-old and up age group has passed 92% vaccinated.
Governor Beshear also announced that monoclonal antibody subcutaneous injection teams will be coming to Kentucky over the next few weeks. In total, four hospitals and several primary care centers will get a team of two to four people to assist with administering injections.
“ASSCLOWN” Charley where’s the GOP Plan ?
It’s the vaccinated … Why you’ll have to get booster after booster … If it was any count, then only one would be needed, and Covid cases would drop…
Stop vaccines, and use proven therapeutics like chloroquine, ivermectin , and others, plus Mask up the vaccinated
Horse wormer? Your stupid, you’ll die but you won’t have worms lmao 🤣
It is actually proven that when given the proper dosage of ivermectin (and the human dosage, that you get from a pharmacy and not tractor supply) that it works in combating the virus. But they don’t want you to know that because they can’t get rich off of selling you 3 dollar treatments.
Did they tell you that on Facebook or some other place don’t believe the majority of real doctors are recommending this drug for covid

There you go!
I would also like to add that the link I attached was just studying the hospitalized, several doctors have given it to patients who weren’t hospitalized and saw great results. And no I haven’t not read it on Facebook, I don’t even have one. Lol.
Very well done MHN, peer reviewed study(s), clinical trials and all. Some on here don’t even know how brilliant that was, I do. Bravo!

Thanks for the Septemberfest Surge Mayor!
And “Kdawg” is just too hilarious to take seriously!
I don’t believe the Septemberfest made this worse. Nearly all of earsten ky is dealing with the same surge.
I agree with that Harold, it’s happening all over the nation, and some narrow minded idiots think Septemberfest caused it all? Some think we should all hide in the basement (like Joe Biden) and cry. I intend to go on with my life as best I can and do the best I can. I thank President Trump for fast tracking the vaccine, which I’ve had. NO CREDIT AT ALL goes to that retard in the white house, he just wants control of the masses.
I think it was really great that everybody got to go to the Septemberfest & had a great time!!!!!! What’s the big deal?! My grandson’s band played & they were TERRIFIC!!!!!! Again so what’s the big deal?! I’m so glad everybody enjoyed their selves!!!!
Just remember to pray for all of those who contracted the virus from being in that Septemberfest mob.
There is at least a 50% chance of getting a false positive with the Covid test. With all the money the hospitals get for every Covid patient, they like this. The pandemic will never end. It’s a way for them to keep us bickering so they can control us easier. WAKE UP!! Take off your mask and live your life. You were never afraid of the flu before.
And pray for all those teachers, bus drivers and students that gather each week . Same as the September Fest.
Not even close to the same thing
