On July 4, 2020, the Fred M. Vinson and Welcome Center held an open house.
Refreshments/snacks were served and lots of Independence Day memoribilia was on display for visitors.
Hostesses Lilly Vinson and Connie Queen wore face masks and handed out them to visitors as well. Social distancing was observed.
The Fred M Museum and Welcome Center has a lot of Lawrence County history in it. It was the very first jail in Lawrence County Kentucky. You can view lots of information and pictures of the late Fred M. Vinson, who was a very prominent man from Louisa, and the building was named after him.
