COACH’S COMMENTS
“… It was a long day for the Tolsia Rebel Boys Basketball program. We hosted the second annual RISEabove Rebel shootout at Rebel Arena. We brought in local middle schools for a great cause and the basketball was the fun part of it! Substance Abuse continues to take loved ones away from us and cause so much heartache in our communities and in almost everyone families. We need to RISEabove and educate our youth with making those right decisions right now in their lives. Experimental behavior with vaping, tobacco, and other drugs are at the teenage level and can lead to a lifelong battle with addiction.”
“… I want to thank the speakers who shared their stories with these young men and women. None of us are perfect and everyone has struggles they deal with in life. We all need to love one another and support each other during difficult times. I want to thank the many of volunteers, parents, players, and coaches who spent about 16 hours in the gym to make this a great experience for all the teams involved in today’s contest. I hope to have everyone back next year at Rebel Arena! Huge shout out to all middle school teams below.”
