Please join the Lawrence County Health Department and make lifestyle changes to live longer and healthier lives! The Diabetes Prevention Program uses CDC curriculum in support-group style meetings focusing on small, lasting lifestyle changes that can result in weight loss, increased physical activity, healthier eating choices, and preventing or delaying Type 2 Diabetes.
Even when we know the healthier choices that we need to make, it’s hard! Together we can figure out triggers, stressors and ways to change our thinking to make those healthier choices easier. This is a year-long class and you must enroll in the beginning to join. Next class begins Thursday January 9 at 12:00 NOON. Meetings will be held at Lawrence County Health Department. We will meet weekly the first few months (skipping holidays, weather, as needed, etc) then switch to meeting monthly to finish the year. We can do this, together! Now is the time to make healthy changes alongside others with similar struggles. Get a full year of meetings and support! Call today to join our Healthy Thursdays! Make this your New Year’s Resolution!
