The Martin County, Kentucky grand jury delivered only five indictments from their November 2024 meeting sessions, which were released on Thursday, December 5. From an alleged police chase of a ATV. to an alleged pair of meth-filled pockets and a pair of broken court dates.
Here are the latest five Martin County grand jury indictments.
Jerry Thomas Spence, 47, of Kermit, West Virginia; was indicted on the charges of first-degree fleeing/ evading police, driving under the influence of alcohol/ drugs (first offense within 10 years), all-terrain vehicle violations and reckless driving. The grand jury stated that on September 23, 2024, Jerry Spence ignored all the flashing lights and signals while Martin County District 4 Constable Brad Preece attempted to arrest him. Jerry Spence’s offense list includes piloting an ATV on Kentucky roadways, driving erratically, and DUI within five years of a conviction on the same charge. Martin County Circuit Judge J. Kevin Holbrook set the going rate for Jerry Spence bail at $5,025.
Frankie Lee Maynard, 48, of Pilgrim, KY., was indicted on the charges of: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and drug paraphernalia possession, according to the indictment. When police caught up with Frankie Maynard on October 5, 2024, he reportedly had meth, eight syringes and two altered straws. Frankie Maynard’s bond was set at $5,025.
Lucille Lynn Mills, 48, of Warfield, KY., Mills was indicted on the charges of methamphetamine possession, drug paraphernalia possession and second-degree possession of Buprenorphine (suboxone). When police arrested Lucille Mills on January 30, 2024, they allegedly seized from her with meth, a modified glass pipe and six units of suboxone, the indictment states. Lucille Mills’ bond was set at $5,025 bail.
Keith Allen Wiley, 34, of Inez, KY., was indicted on the charge of: *BAIL JUMPING, 1ST DEGREE; after not appearing at his September 19, 2024 sentencing hearing, after he had been earlier released on the promise that he would show up, Keith Wiley’s bond was set at $5,025.
Doris J. Strickland, 49, of Louisa, KY. was indicted for *BAIL JUMPING, 1ST DEGREE: after she allegedly did not appear at her pretrial conference on November 21, 2024. Doris Strickland’s bond was set at $5,025.
