Brianna K. Ellis, 20, of Lexington, KY., was arrested on Monday, December 2, by the Martin County Sheriff Office, on a bench warrant for
*CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER; to serve a guilty plea jail sentence.
Jordan Ray Farmer, 30, of Inez, Ky, was arrested on Thursday December 5, 2024, for:
*ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE (1ST & 2ND OFFENSE). Martin County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.
Clayton Muncy, 28, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested on Thursday, December 5, on an indictment warrant charging him with:
*FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (MOTOR VEHICLE),
*FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST DEGREE (ON FOOT)
*WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER
*CRIMINAL MISCHIEF, 1ST DEGREE.
A related October 3, 2024 indictment alleges that Clayton Muncy disregarded commands given by Kentucky State Police Post 9 trooper Mark Spencer of the Kentucky State Police Post 9 to stop. It also states he created a danger of death or serious physical injury by dragging his father with the motor vehicle he was operating Feb. 19, 2022. Martin County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest by executing the indictment warrant.
Mary Lou Setser, 53, of Auxier, Kentucky; was arrested Thursday on Bowen Lane in Inez for:
*SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

Terri L. Sammons, 43, of Lovely, Ky.,was arrested on Friday, December 6, on Mary Perry Road in Tomahawk, KY., on:
*SERVING TWO BENCH WARRANTS; from Martin County Family Court to answer contempt of court. Each warrant states Sammons will remain incarcerated with no bond for 179 days in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center or pay the purge amount of $500 or upon agreement with the county attorney. Martin County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest by executing the bench warrant .
Ronald Wrightsel, 76, of Tomahawk, KY., was arrested on Friday, on December 6, for:
*POSSESSION OF HANDGUN BY CONVICTED FELON.
Martin County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest. Deputy Kidd went to a residence to investigate Wrightsel on an active warrant from Michigan. The police report states Wrightsel disclosed that he had a firearm where he was sitting in the residence. He also reportedly stated that he was a convicted felon and had been in and out of prison for robbery and escape. Deputy Kidd found a .22 caliber H&R revolver on the seat where Wrightsel was sitting.
Ernest P. Jarvis, 50, of Inez, KY., was arrested on Friday, December 6, at his home on Happy Hollow on charges for: *BURGLARY, 2ND DEGREE,
* CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 2ND DEGREE,
*MENACING,
*RESISTING ARREST. Martin County Sheriff Office Chief Deputy Chris Kidd made the arrest.
Harlan Jude, 53, of Pilgrim, KY., was arrested on Saturday, December 7, on Big Peter Cave Road on a warrant from Martin County Circuit Court, on the charges for:
*ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE-POLICE OFFICER OR PROBATION OFFICER, *FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 3RD DEGREE,
*ESCAPE 3RD DEGREE,
*RESISTING ARREST
*MENACING,
*PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)..
Martin County District 4 Constable James Bradford Preece served the warrant.
Frankie Maynard, 48, of Pilgrim, KY., was arrested on Sunday, December 8, on Gordon Hollow Road in Beauty, KY., on an indictment warrant from Martin County Circuit Court, and was charged for: *POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE), *DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS. Martin County District 4 Constable James Bradford Preece served the warrant.
Timothy Stacy, 53, of Kermit, West Virginia, was arrested on Sunday, December 8 for: *POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE),*PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).Martin County District Constable Mitchell Bowen made the arrest.
Sonny A. Keeton (photo top), 39, and Raymond Eugene Keeton Jr., (photo bottom), 18, both of Salyersville,KY., were arrested on Sunday, December 8, at Save A Lot on Route 645 in Inez, KY.. Both men were charged with:
*MENACING, and CRIMINAL TRESPASS-2ND DEGREE. Raymond Keeton also faces an additional charge of
*PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).
Martin County Sheriff John H. Kirk responded to an alarm call at the store early Sunday morning, where he found Raymond Keeton and Sonny A. Keeton in a 2007 white Mazda parked behind the building.
According to Sheriff John Kirk, a coat covering the rearview mirror obstructed the view inside the vehicle.The two men were hesitant to show their hands, repeatedly placing them out of sight until Sheriff John Kirk drew his firearm.
Subsequently, Sheriff John Kirk found a handgun inside the vehicle. Emergency dispatch advised the gun had been reported as stolen in Floyd County.The police arrest report states Raymond Keeton, the driver, was using a THC vape pen and exhibited slurred speech and slowed actions. Raymond Keeton allegedly admitted to using marijuana.
