A GOLDEN ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED IN CARTER COUNTY, KENTUCKY ON FRIDAY, JUNE 14,FOR FRANCES BYRD, 72, WHO IS AN ELDERLY WOMAN WHO HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE TUESDAY, JUNE 11; AND IS SUFFERING FROM SEVERAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES.
A Golden Alert has been issued in Carter County on Friday, June 14, for law enforcement and county officials seeking the public’s help with their search for an elderly woman with medical issues who’s been missing since Tuesday, June 11.The Carter County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday that Frances Byrd, 72, was signed out of a nursing and rehabilitation center by a family member against medical advice. Officials said Frances Byrd was “not in her right mind when she left.”
According to the press release alert, Frances Byrd suffers from dementia, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and cannot walk more than 50 feet unassisted.
Frances Byrd is described as 5 feet 3 and weighs about 240 pounds. Frances Bbyrd has blonde hair and was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, slippers and has a walker.
Law enforcement officials reported Frances Byrd was last seen in the Cedar Run area of Carter County. Frances Byrd was seen leaving a home in a “newer white color passenger car” on Tuesday, June 11.
A man who was identified as Frances Byrd’s son, reached out to police investigators, saying he hasn’t been able to make contact with his mother, according to Carter County deputies.
