A SITUATION THAT WAS TONGUE & CHEEK…WITH A SHARP BLADE!
LAWRENCE COUNTY MAN ARRESTED AND REMAINS IN JAIL AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO CUT OUT HIS EX-WIFE’S TONGUE WITH A KNIFE!
SELF ADMITTED TO COPS OF HIS ALCOHOL & WEED USE, SUSPECT ALSO FOUND TO BE IN ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARM
THE LOOK OF SOMEONE WHO WAS DRUNK AND STONED, AND IN THE MOOD TO SLICE OUT HIS FORMER SPOUSE’S TONGUE: CHARLES EDWARD JEFFREY, 60, OF LOUISA, KENTUCKY; WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH TOP FELONY ASSAULT, AS WELL AS BEING A FELON IN POSSESSION OF A GUN.
Police were called Friday night, March 1, to a home on Cherryville Road, over a report of a man and woman fighting. When they spoke to the couple, the woman told police she had been in an argument with her ex-husband, Charles Edward Jeffrey, 60 of Louisa, KY., when he pulled out a box cutter and attempted to cut out her tongue. The woman told the officers that she fled the home to get away from him.
Charles Jeffrey admitted to police that he had been fighting with his ex-wife and that he had been drinking and smoking marijuana, but said he didn’t hurt her. However, the woman showed police where she had been cut on the bottom of her tongue.
Charles Jeffrey was arrested by deputy Travis Music of the Lawrence County Sheriff Office. and he was charged with:
* ASSAULT, 1ST DEGREE – DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, and also:
*POSSESSION OF FIREARM BY CONVICTED FELON, after officers reportedly found a shotgun next to Charles Jeffrey when they interviewed him.
Charles Edward Jeffrey was taken to and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, where he is currently still being held.
