COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Our first Senior is Leandra Curnutte. She has played high school basketball for 6 years. While playing she has been a member of the 15th region all-tournament team, 58th all district team and also has become a member of the 500-assist club. Outside of basketball Leandra plays AAU for the Lady Vision basketball club and attends Cedar Grove Baptist Church. After graduation she plans to get her real estate license and major in business management at ACTC. Leandra’s advice to the underclassman is control what you can and always give 110% effort. Leandra’s best memory at LCHS is winning a regional championship with her dad.”
“… Our next Senior is Abby Nelson. She has been a member of our Lady Bulldog family for 6 years. While playing here she has been a member of the all-district team as well as the regional tournament team. Outside of basketball Abby attends the First Baptist Church. After graduation Abby plans to attend the University of Pikeville where she will further her academic and athletic career and eventually become a nurse anesthesist. Abby’s advice to the underclassmen is hate has 4 letters but so does love, failure has 7 letters but so does success, and negativity has 10 letters but so does positivity. You always have a choice so choose the better side of it. Her best memory at LCHS is winning the regional tournament and getting to go to the state tournament and seeing all the community support.”
“… Our next Senior is Kaison Ward. She has been a member of our Lady Bulldog family for 6 years. While playing she has become a member of the 1000 point club and 1000 rebound club. She has also been a member of the 2A all-tournament team, 58th district team, and 15th region all tournament team. Outside of basketball Kaison attends Inez Freewill Baptist church and plays tennis. She also enjoys babysitting, tanning and spending time with her family and friends. After graduation Kaison plans to attend Alice Lloyd College where she will play basketball and pursue a degree in early childhood education. Kaison’s advice to the underclassmen is always believe in yourself and do things because you want to and love to do it. Kaison’s favorite memory is the different atmospheres that you endure over the years of playing basketball. Also, all the hard work we put in together as a team throughout the season to push and see how far we can go.”
