LAWRENCE COUNTY ARREST LIST – OCTOBER 4-10, 2017

WHILE THERE WAS A SLOWDOWN IN THE PAST WEEK IN THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, ARRESTS IN THE NEIGHBORING COUNTIES WERE AT A BRISK PACE, CAUSING THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE INMATE COUNT TO GO JUST UNDER 300 (299) OVER WEEKEND, WITH THOSE NUMBERS GOING DOWN ON MONDAY WHEN THERE WERE A LOT OF PRISONERS WHO WERE ABLE TO BOND OUT.
IN THE PAST SEVEN DAYS FROM 12:01 A.M. OCTOBER 4 THRU 11:59 P.M. OCTOBER 10, OUT OF THE AT LEAST 111 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BSRDC, 11 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. PLUS ANOTHER SEVEN LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN VARIOUS COUNTIES ( FOUR IN JOHNSON COUNTY, ONE IN BOYD COUNTY, ONE IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND ONE IN LOGAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY) .
THAT IS IN COMPARISON TO THE PREVIOUS EIGHT DAYS FROM 12:01 A.M. SEPTEMBER 26 THRU 11:59 P.M. OCTOBER 3; OUT OF THE AT LEAST 108 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, 20 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. PLUS ANOTHER SIX LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES ( THREE IN JOHNSON COUNTY, TWO IN PIKE COUNTY, AND ONE IN POWELL COUNTY) .

Richard A. Laney, 57, of Louisa, was arrested on October 4, 2017, at 12:24 P.M., by deputy Karl Adkins of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
