Fort Gay, W. Va. — #10 Tolsia Girls basketball snapped a two game losing streak with a 60-47 victory over previously unbeaten #8 River View ( 7-1 ) Wednesday at Rebel Arena.
Kerigan Salmons hit four three pointers in a victory over River View Wednesday night.
Julie Boone and Kerigan Salmons led the way with 14 each including 6 three pointers combined, Autumn Block also hit double figures with 10 points, Kylea Pollinger 7 points, Selena Browning 6 points, Jace Litton and Isabella Simpkins chipped in with 4 points each.
Tolsia hit 7 three pointers and went 15 of 24 from the foul line.

River View was led by Haylie Payne with 15 points, Ali Morson 13 points, Trista Lester 9 points, Jenna Atwell 6 points, Sheridan Calhoun 2 points, Chloe Mitchem and Katie Bailey 1 point each.

#4 ranked in Class 3A the Fighting Irish was to much for the Lady Rebels in a matchup of former section opponents.
Kylea Pollinger hit 3 three pointers and finished with 11 points, Julie Boone and Kerigan Salmons tallied 10 points each, Selena Browning 5 points, Kenzie Young 3 points, Julie Young and Autumn Block 2 points each.
Tolsia hit 6 three pointers and went 3 of 6 from the foul line.
St. Joe was led by Anya Damon with 27 points, Lacee Smith 12 points, Ava Lee and Julia Preservati 10 points each, Makayla Smith 6 points, Sophie Ransbottom and Ramey George 5 points each.

In a battle of Wayne Co. rivals the #4 team in Class 3A the Wayne Pioneers held of the Lady Rebels to squeak out the victory.
Tolsia was led by Autumn Block with 13 points, Julie Boone tallied 10 points, Selena Browning, Kylea Pollinger and Kerigan Salmons 6 points each, Isabella Simpkins 2 points.
The Rebels hit 2 three pointers and went 9 of 15 from the foul line.

Wayne was led by Jasmine Tabor with 23 points, Alana Eaves 14 points, Kirsten Stroud and Dilaneigh Brooks 4 points each, Morgan Marshall 1 point.

“… I’m so proud of our girls for their efforts tonight, River View is a good team and deserved to be in the top ten. They were ranked a couple spots ahead of us and were 7-0 coming in here tonight with some quality wins under their belts. We are just trying to get better become section starts in a couple weeks. This was a team win tonight. We got into some foul trouble and I thought every girl we put in the game and even the ones that didn’t get in were a part of this victory tonight.”
“… We have played a brutal schedule so far with the likes of St. Joe, Wayne, Spring Valley and Greenup Co. but I think it will have us prepared for postseason. This was another good test for us tonight because I think River View will come out of Region 3 and make the state tournament. Really proud of the team tonight.”
