On October 16th the Louisa Younger Women’s Club honored sheriff Garrett Roberts for his 32 years of service to Lawrence County and Lawrence County schools with a dinner in his honor.
Invitees gathered at the Lawrence County Community Center on Bulldog Lane at 6 PM for a silent auction to raise money for the safety needs of the schools and a goodbye to a man who has been a staple in our community.
Tickets were sold for $15 a person or $25 for a couple. This event was a perfect end to celebrate Sheriff Roberts service to our county and also help with the school safety that has become a priority to all Lawrence County officials.
The funds collected from the event were donated to Lawrence County School System toward their Safety Program, which was $1300.
The ladies were representing the Louisa Young Women’s Club. The event Celebrating Sheriff Roberts 32 years of service to the citizens of Lawrence County as 911 Dispatcher, Louisa City Police, DARE officer while at City Police, Louisa City Police Chief, and Lawrence County Sheriff.
