MOTOCYCLE, SUV AND CAR INVOLVED IN FATAL ACCIDENTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY
UPDATE: VICTIMS IDENTIFIED
At around 5:30 a.m. (5:22) Friday morning a horrific accident claimed a life at an intersection notorious for accidents. The two car crash happened at the intersection of Ky 2565 and US 23 near Louisa.
The crash involved an SUV and a car.
The road is now clear and traffic is moving. There is no word on the cause of accident at this time.
According to Lawrence County Coroner Mike Wilson the victim in the accident is Byron Holbrook 62, of Louisa.
No other details of the accident have been released by the Kentucky State Police.
FATAL MOTORCYCLE CRASH
Officials tell the Levisa Lazer that a call came in right around midnight, (23:23) to the crash on US 23 near Joe’s Carpet House in the Lowmansville area.
Kentucky State Police Post 14 Investigating Fatal Collision
Lowmansville, Kentucky – (October 12, 2018) The Kentucky State Police in Ashland are investigating a fatal collision that occurred yesterday evening, at approximately 11:30 PM, near 740 US Highway 23, in the Lowmansville area of Lawrence County.
Mr. David Seaman, age 32, of Greenacres, Florida, was operating a 2016 BMW motorcycle, traveling Northbound on US Highway 23, when he exited the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a guardrail. Mr. Seaman was subsequently thrown from his motorbike and into the guardrail, where he was discovered later pronounced deceased by Lawrence County Coroner Mike Wilson.
No other passengers or vehicles were involved. Mr. Seaman was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor. Toxicology results are pending.
The collision remains under investigation by Trooper John Gabbard. He was assisted at the scene by the Lowmansville Fire Department and the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office.
