Many of the same cases were seen on the last circuit docket of April. The dominating charge is Trafficking in methamphetamine. And after Steve Meeks was denied a motion to modify his release, he decided to release himself by escaping the transport van. His release was short lived and will possibly extend his lockup by 5 more years.
Here are this week’s docket decisions:
Joseph Bentley, 38 was sentenced on 4 cases. The defendant received two years concurrent on each of 3 cases of Flagrant Non Support and given time served for Bailjumping (2counts) after completing PSAP.
Douglas Castle, 53 was arraigned on complicity trafficking in a controlled substance.
Hearing set for 5/11/18 for a bond violation hearing and pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
Robert Chafin, 41 was arraigned on Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree.
Pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
William Chafin, 30 was present for a bond hearing on Fraudulent Use Of ID Card Of Electronic Code For Benefits.
Bond changed back to full cash bond.
Robert Clay, 56 Was arraigned on Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine.
Pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
Teresa Clay, 50 pled guilty to Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st offense and will be sentenced to 3 years, consecutive to another case, with 365 days of Home Incarceration and 5 years probated.
Final sentencing to be held on 5/25/18.
Separate Case: Pled guilty to Trafficking In a Controlled Substance with the same sentence as above to run concurrently.
Separate Case: was present on a status hearing for Trafficking In a Controlled Substance That may be dismissed based upon a plea in other cases.
Jeffery Copley, 46 Defendant is in PSAP and set is Set for a status hearing in six months on Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine and Complicity Possession of Marijuana.
Curtis Edens, 59 was appointed a public defender to represent the defendant for trial.
Set for status conference on 5/25/18.
Melissa Frazier-Allen, 38 was sentenced to 30 days probated over 24 months, unsupervised with other conditions, plus paying restitution for Fraudulent Use Of ID Card Of Electronic Code For Benefits.
David B. Johnson, 41 Pled guilty and will receive per commonwealth’s offer;
3 years, probated over 5 and 180 days in rehab for Criminal Mischief, 1st Degree and
60 days for Attempt Escape, 2nd degree,
60 days for Resisting Arrest,
60 days for Wanton Endangerment and Persistent Felony Offender enhanced the sentenced to 10 years concurrent to 16/CR/16 but consecutive to 17/CR/73.
Separate Case: Pled guilty and will receive per Commonwealth’s offer
2 ½ years probated over five with 180 days of rehab for Assault,
30 days for Disorderly Conduct and
90 days for Falsely Reporting An Incident with Persistent Felony Offender being dismissed.

12 Months For Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, First Offense.

Steve Meeks, 62 was denied a motion to modify the conditions of release on Attempt Robbery, Fleeing or Evading Police, Wanton Endangerment, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Operating A Motor Vehicle Under The Influence of Alc/Drugs and Persistent Felony Offender.
Joni Moore, 40 Pled guilty and per Commonwealth’s offer will receive;
2 years, supervised Probation with a Pretrial diversion over 4 years and
60 days for Complicity Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Will be final sentenced on 5/25/18.
Matthew Newsome, 37 was sentenced to 3 years, supervised with a pretrial diversion over five years and other conditions on Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500.
Jonathan Owens, 30 Pled guilty per Commonwealth’s offer to amended Trafficking In a Controlled Substance and will receive;
2 years Supervised Probation and other conditions and
60 days for Giving Officer False Identifying Information. Final sentencing to be held on 5/25/18.
Charles Perkins, 26 was present on charges Engaging In Organized Crime- 2 counts.
Case was reset for 5/25/18.
Jocelyn Pickard, 33 A trial date has been set for 8/7/18 with a report date on 7/13/18 for Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine 1st Degree And Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, Heroin.
Abigail Pinson, 54 was arraigned on Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree.
Pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
Rebecca Pinson, 42 was sentenced to 3 years Supervised Probation for Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree
Jessica Ray, 37 was arraigned on Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree and Persistent Felony Offender.
Pre-trial set for 5/25/18. Bond changed to Home Incarceration.
John Scott, 32 was arraigned on possession of a controlled substance, 1st Degree, methamphetamine.
Pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
Christopher Shannon, 34 was arraigned on Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree and Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree.
Pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
Michelle Shaw, 28 was arraigned on Criminal Mischief, 1st degree and Criminal Trespass, 2nd degree.
Pre-trial was set for 5/25/18.
A bond change was noted, to be set for an in home incarceration evaluation.
Jason Skaggs, 47 was present on charges of Possession Of A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
An in-home Incarceration evaluation was granted.
Kenneth Anthony Stepp, 34 Pled guilty per Commonwealth’s offer and received;
3 years of supervised probation on Complicity Theft By Unlawful Taking and the Persistent Felony Offender enhanced the sentence to 10 years.

Jeremy Thompson, 37 Pled guilty to an amended Complicity Trafficking in a Controlled Substance to
Possession of a Controlled Substance for;
3 years supervised probation over five years
and received 45 days for Complicity Possession Of Marijuana, final sentencing to be held on 5/25/18.
Separate Case: Complicity Manufacturing To Facilitation of Methamphetamine and will receive 5 years supervised probation with a pretrial diversion. Final sentencing to be held on 5/25/18.
Crystal Wheeler, 41 was sentenced to 10 years supervised probation over five years with other conditions on Complicity Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree.

3 years for Complicity Trafficking In A Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine,
3 years for Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree,
12 months for Drug Paraphernalia,
45 days for Possession of Marijuana,

45 days for Failure To Surrender Revoked Operators.
180 days of Home Incarceration with Drug Court.

Sonny Wiley, 40 Pled guilty and received 2 years Supervised Probation with a Pretrial diversion over 4 years and other conditions on Complicity Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine and;
60 days for Complicity Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

James Vanhoose, 39 was arraigned on Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree and Complicity Trafficking In a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Pre-trial set for 5/25/18.
