The MAC & BSCTC to present the Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards

Prestonsburg, Ky. – The Mountain Arts Center & Big Sandy Community & Technical College will proudly present the inaugural Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards, virtually, on Saturday March 20 at 7pm. Virtual tickets will be sold on cmh23.com for the ceremony.
The “Appys” represent 6 categories and 43 awards including best songwriter, best graphic artist, and best music educator. Contestants were included from 6 states of the 13 state Appalachian region. The top 5 of each award category were chosen by the public vote on www.appalachianartsandentertainmentawards.com. These contestants were sent to an industry panel to choose the winners. Each winner will be revealed during the ceremony on March 20.
The Appalachian Arts & Entertainment Awards are sponsored by Prestonsburg Tourism, CMH23, Highlands ARH, UK Markey Cancer Center, and Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). Tickets are $15 plus fees, and can be purchased on www.cmh23.com.
