Ministry campaigns to help in Blaine, Fallsburg food, clothing banks
In the words of Lawrence County Food Bank’s Rachel Workman:
“…There was a man named Jack Van Vlack that contacted me back in the early spring he had heard about our ministry and wanted to help. He is originally from New York City but I have met with him a couple of times in person.
Jack has started a campaign called ‘QUARTERS CROSSING BOARDERS’ and the money to be raised will help fund Thanksgiving baskets for the ones in need in the community of Blaine, Ky.
He has raised quite a bit of money already and also he has been collecting clothing and school supplies from five other states and is bringing that into the Fallsburg, Ky. area this weekend.
Mr. Van Vlack will be coming in this Saturday to donate his time to help at our pantry, Lawrence County Food Bank.
Blake Knowles and I couldn’t be more excited to participate in such a great cause! Please let me know if you have children’s/teenager’s clothes, school supplies or non perishable food items you would like to donate. I must have all donations by next Thursday!
