Lawrence County Fiscal Court met Tuesday and named members to three local boards and committees.
The much discussed Ethics Board, which is responsible for honest, fair and open government and was recently called upon by the state auditor to take action on five serious violations which were reported to the existing ethics board at the time.
The Carter court decided to change the code last month and reduced the number of board members from seven to three. Carter named Dr. Elaine Desario, a local optometrist and owner of Louisa Eye Care, David McKenzie, Jr., owner of the J.J. Jordan Center, and Gene Davis to the new ethics board.
David McGuire, retired Louisa Water Works director, was named to replace Bill Hardin a recently deceased member of the Big Sandy Water Board.
Two new members of the were named to the Lawrence County Extension Board including Michelle Brewer and John Skaggs.
The above agenda is all the public information provided by the court.
That new ethics board needs to stay right with carter at all times, he could be a full time job.
