Prestonsburg, Ky. – The MAC will produce the inaugural Appalachian Strings & Things on July 2-3 at Jenny Wiley Amphitheater. It’s described as a mix of old, new, traditional, and progressive Bluegrass music, with some acoustic stylings thrown in. The music festival is being presented with help from Prestonsburg Tourism and Floyd County Tourism.
On Friday July 2, the headliner will be industry veterans Mountain Heart. Also on the bill that night will be multiple IBMA award winners Rob Ickes & Trey Hensley. Saturday, July 3 includes Sideline and rising Kentucky based band Wolfpen Branch.
