Mossie Dale Horn, age 69, of Inez, KY, passed on to his heavenly home on April 28, 2021 at Highland Appalachian Regional Hospital in Prestonsburg, KY.
He was born August 21, 1951 in Martin County, KY to the late Wallace and Anna Mae Mills Horn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Horn, two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Horn Goble and Linda Dotson and one great grandchild.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Anna Faye (Jarvis) Horn, one son, Kevin Dale (Desiria) Horn of Harrodsburg, KY, one daughter, Michelle Ann (Charlie) Sturgill of Fort Gay, WV, one brother Terry Horn of OH, and one sister, Willa Dean Maynard of OH. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Brittany Ann Dalton, James Adam (Taylor) Dalton, Jacob Kevin Horn, Landon Seth Irvin, Aiden Joel Irvin, and Emily Kate Horn, one great grandchild, Kinsley McKay Dalton and another great grandchild on the way.
Mossie loved his family fiercely and enjoyed being a part of his community and church. He was a longtime member of Turkey Creek Church of the Nazarene and was an Army Veteran that had proudly served his country. He faithfully followed local sports and assisted as a coach in both Martin and Lawrence counties. He coached alongside Head Coach Roger Harless at Sheldon Clark High School for many years and loved being involved.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Crum Funeral Home with Garrett Mills, Dwayne Mills and Derek Catron officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Memorial Garden, Louisa, KY.
Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM and on Saturday beginning at 11 AM until the time of services.
