LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE ISSUES FINAL NOTICE TO COUNTY RESIDENTS THAT APRIL 17 IS LAST DAY TO PAY 2022 COUNTY TAXES IN PERSON
ALL UNPAID BILLS AFTER DEADLINE TO BE SUBJECT TO MULTIPLE FINANCIAL PENALTIES, PURCHASE BY THIRD PARTIES

On Thursday, April 13, Sheriff Chuck Jackson and his office issued a final reminder to Lawrence County residents that Monday, April 17, is the last day to pay the 2022 property taxes in their office.
The office Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30; and the sheriff’s office will be open on Saturday, April 15 until noon 12:00 P.M. for anyone needing to pay taxes.
All unpaid bills will be turned over to the County Clerk and subject to a significant increase in penalties, interest and fees and may be acquired by a third-party purchaser.
Payment Methods:
In office: Cash, Check, Money Order or Credit/Debit ** In office payments must be made by close of business (4:30) on Monday, April 17.
By mail: Mail a check or money order to 310 East Main Street Louisa, KY 41230. Mailed in payments must be postmarked by April 17. For a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Drop Box: We have a drop box located at the front door for tax payments (check or money orders only). If you use the drop box and want a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.

**Convenience fees are added to all Credit/Debit card payments. Debit: $2.50 Credit: 2.75%
(Please note that the convenience fees are charged by financial institutions for processing your payments and that the Sheriff’s Office receives no portion of these charges).
