Louisa, Ky. — Louisa Middle School returned to action on Monday night after a long holiday break hosting the Raceland Rams in front of a really nice crowd. The Dawgs took two out of three games to kickoff the second half of their season after last Thursday’s game with Fairview was postponed until February 2nd.

Louisa 44 Raceland 30 ( 8th )
Joe Schmidt led a balanced attack for the Bulldogs as they pulled away in the second half to avenge an earlier loss to Raceland.
Schmidt had a game high 15 point. Kyle Davis tallied 13 points, Baden Gillispie chipped in with 9 points and numerous assists, Andrew Tackett also scored 7 points.

Raceland 41 Louisa 22 ( 7th )
The visiting Rams held a 21-17 lead heading to the final period before kicking into high gear for the double digit victory.
Trenton Adkins had 9 points to lead the Bulldogs, Bryce Blevins tallied 7 points, SJ Lycans hit a three pointer, Mason Preston had 2 points and Brody Diamond chipped in with 1 free throw.
Louisa 28 Raceland 25 ( 6th )
In the best game of the night it was the Bulldogs beating the Rams for the second time this season both games this year have been decided by one possession.
Lawson Baisden had 18 points and hit some clutch free throws down the stretch to lead the Dawgs to the victory.
Ford Skaggs tallied 7 points, Dylan Ferguson chipped in with 2 points and Dylan Whitt hit one free throw.

Louisa Middle will be back in action tonight at home vs Boyd Co. 6th Grade at 5:30 and 7th, 8th will follow them. Also will be at home next Thursday vs Ashland.
