MARTIN COUNTY GRAND JURY HANDS DOWN 10 INDICTMENTS IN EARLY OCTOBER AGAINST TEN INDIVIDUALS

The Martin County Grand Jury in Inez, Ky. returned 10 indictments, each one with 2 or more criminal charges against ten individuals, on October 3, 2019.
Those ten individuals who were named in the true bills indictments were as the following:
* Nicolas M. Ward, 41, of Inez, Ky., was charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a minor, and resisting arrest; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and a used syringe, allowing a child to become neglected, and intentionally attempting to prevent a police officer from effecting an arrest on August 5.
* James Collins, 38, and Brittany Collins, 28, both of Pilgrim, Kentucky, charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, greater than two grams of methamphetamine/complicity; possession of drug paraphernalia/complicity; and third-degree possession of a controlled substance, for allegedly acting alone or in complicity with each other, trafficking in two or more grams of methamphetamine, $368 in cash, and baggies with the intent to traffic methamphetamine; a used syringe; and parenting on June 28.
* James W. Harless, 52, of Tomahawk, Kentucky;, charged with first-degree trafficking in greater than two grams of methamphetamine/firearm enhancement; first degree persistent felony offender, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drug/etc.; no registration plates and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
According to the grand jury indictment, on August 3, James Harless allegedly possessed two baggies of methamphetamine and $151 in cash with the intent to traffic methamphetamine, possessed a loaded Jennings Brand .380 caliber handgun, operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs which impaired his ability to operate the motor vehicle, had registration plates that not adhere to standards set forth in state law and operated a motor vehicle while his operator’s license was suspended or revoked. James Harless was also previously convicted of a felony.
* Parker McCoy, 57, of Paintsville, Kentucky; charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree terroristic threatening, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs; for allegedly assaulting or attempting to assault Marin County Sheriff Department Chief Deputy Aaron Blevins and threatened to commit murder and/or assault against deputy Blevins and operated as motor vehicle while under the influence of of alcohol or another substance that impair a driver’s ability to operate that motor vehicle on March 20.
* Marlena A. Evans, 41, of Lovely, Kentucky; charged with two counts of third-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree terroristic threatening, and public intoxication (excluding alcohol); for allegedly assaulting Martin County Sheriff Department Chief Deputy Aaron Blevins and Martin County Coroner Chris Todd, threatening to commit murder and.or assault against deputy Blevins, and was in a public setting manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance or other drugs on August 7.
* Laura Davis Giacomoni, 36, of Pilgrim, charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and possession of marijuana; for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle and possessed marijuana.
* Herman J. Endicott Jr., 48, of Inez, Kentucky; charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with physical evidence; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, and destroying, removing, altering, or concealing physical evidence that he believed would be used against him in an official proceeding on September 3.
* Rodney M. Estep, 34, of Inez, Kentucky; charged with first-degree trafficking in less than two grams o methamphetamine and possession/use of drug paraphernalia; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and $890 in cash with the intent of trafficking in methamphetamine, and possessing hypodermic needles used to ingest controlled substances on August 8.
* Curtis Hinkle, 48, of Warfield, Kentucky; charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession/use of drug paraphernalia; for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, and possessing hypodermic needles used to ingest controlled substances on September 3.
