The Lawrence County Grand Jury Returns 10 Indictments For March.
Kayla Hunt, 29 of Louisa, Ky. was indicted on BURGLARY 1st DEGREE (class B felony) penalty: 10 to 20 years and POSSESSION OF A HANDGUN BY A CONVICTED FELON (class C felony) penalties: 5 to 10 years.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before September 5, 2016, Kayla Hunt knowingly and unlawfully entered the dwelling house of Edmond Lambert of Louisa, Ky. with the intent to commit the crime of theft and while affecting entry, while in the dwelling house and/ or in the immediate flight therefrom, she was armed with a deadly weapon. Ms. Hunt also knowingly and unlawfully had in her possession a Stevens 20 gauge, model 94 shotgun while having been convicted of a prior felony from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Bail was set at $20,000.
Richard Meade, 64 of Louisa, Ky. Indicted on charges of BURGLARY 3rd DEGREE (class D felony) penalty: 1 to 5 years and CARRYING A CONCEALED DEADLY WEAPON (a class A misdemeanor) penalty: not more than 12 months.
The Grand Jury charges that Richard Meade knowingly and unlawfully entered an outbuilding owned by Richard Preston of Louisa, Ky. with the intent to commit the crime of theft. Mr. Meade knowingly and unlawfully carried a concealed firearm on or about his person. Bond was set at $5,000.
Joann Kimble, AKA “Candy Kimble”, 26 was indicted on the charges of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1st DEGREE/ COMPLICITY (class D felony) penalty of 1 to 5 years, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 3rd DEGREE/ COMPLICITY (class A misdemeanor) penalty of no more than 12 months, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA/COMPLICITY (class B misdemeanor) penalty of no more than 90 days and POSSESSION/USE DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/COMPLICITY (class A misdemeanor) penalty of no more than 12 months.
The Grand Jury charges that the defendant acting alone or in complicity with Gary Cochran Mills knowingly and unlawfully possessed the Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, possessed Buprenorphine (Soboxone), possessed Marijuana and altered straws, an altered glass tube, baggies and rolling papers. Bond was set at $5,000.
Gary Cochran Mills, 50 of Auxier, Ky. has been indicted indicted on the charges of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1st DEGREE/ COMPLICITY (class D felony) penalty of 1 to 5 years, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 3rd DEGREE/ COMPLICITY (class A misdemeanor) penalty of no more than 12 months, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA/COMPLICITY (class B misdemeanor) penalty of no more than 90 days and POSSESSION/USE DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/COMPLICITY (class A misdemeanor) penalty of no more than 12 months.

Dalton Whitt, 29 of Webbville, Ky. was indicted on charges of ASSAULT 3rd DEGREE (class D felony) penalty: 1 to 5 years, ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A MINOR (class A misdemeanor) TERRORISTIC THREATENING 3rd DEGREE (class A misdemeanor) penalty of not more than 12 months, RESISTING ARREST (class A misdemeanor) penalty: not more than 12 months and MENACING (class B misdemeanor) penalty: not more than 90 days in jail.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before March 2nd , 2017 in Lawrence County Ky. Dalton Whitt committed the offense of Assault 3rd degree by assaulting or attempting to assault Deputy Mason Keefer with the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department while acting in his official capacity, the defendant knowingly and unlawfully being a parent or legal guardian of a minor and failing to prevent him or her from becoming neglected or a delinquent child. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully threatened to commit any crime likely to result in the death or serious injury of another while disregarding Deputy Mason Keefer’s commands while preventing the officer, while working in his official capacity fro, placing the defendant under arrest. The defendant knowingly and unlawfully placed another person in the reasonable apprehension of imminent physical injury.
Joseph Bentley, 37 of Ashland, Ky. was indicted on BAILJUMPING 1st DEGREE (class D felony) penalty of 1 to 5 years.
The Grand Jury charges that on February 10th, 2017 in Lawrence County Kentucky, Joseph Bentley committed the offense of BAILJUMPING by knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon conditions that he would subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge of Flagrant Non Support, a class D felony, he failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court. Bail set for $5,000.
Percilla Boggs “aka Percilla Ramey” 31 of Paintsville, Ky. was indicted on BAILJUMPING 1st Degree (class D felony) penalty of 1 to 5 years.
The Grand Jury charges that on February 24, 2017 in Lawrence County Ky., Percilla Boggs committed the offense of BAILJUMPING by knowingly and unlawfully having been released from custody by the court, with or without bail, upon conditions that she would subsequently appear at a specified time and place in connection with a felony charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class D felony, she failed to appear at that time and place as ordered by the court. Bail set for $5,000.
Amanda Thomas, 35 of Louisa, Ky. was indicted on charges of TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1st degree, less than 2 grams (class D felony) penalty: 1 to 5 years, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, namely HEROIN (class D felony) and POSSESSION/ USE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA (class A misdemeanor) penalty of not more than 12 months.
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 13th, 2016 in Lawrence County Kentucky, the defendant knowingly and unlawfully possessed a controlled substance with the intent to traffic in that controlled substance, namely Methamphetamine. The defendant committed the offense of Possession of a controlled substance by knowingly and unlawfully being in the possession of a schedule 1 narcotic, Heroin and unlawfully being in the possession of altered straws. Bond was set for $5,000.
Christopher Howell, 33 of Louisa, Kentucky was indicted on BAILJUMPING 1st DEGREE (class D felony) penalty of 1 to 5 years.

Lowell Justin Maynard, 29 of Louisa, Ky. was indicted on charges of POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1st degree (class D felony) penalty of 1 to 5 years, USE/POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA 1st OFFENSE (class A misdemeanor) THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING UNDER $500.00 (class A misdemeanor) and POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 2nd degree (class A misdemeanor).
The Grand Jury charges that on or before December 28, 2016 in Lawrence county Kentucky, the above named defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance by knowingly and unlawfully being in possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. The above named defendant committed the offense of use/possession of drug paraphernalia by knowingly and unlawfully possessing a syringe. The defendant committed the offense of theft but unlawfully taking a 3/8 inch snap on ratchet and 1 quart of transfer case oil belonging to Edsel Perry of Louisa Kentucky with a value not exceeding $500. The defendant committed the offense of possession of a controlled substance by knowingly and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance/Suboxone. Bail set at 5,000.
