Lucy Mae Henson, 80, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2021.
Lucy was born May 29, 1941 in Lawrence County, KY to the late Edwin and Emma (Skeens) Henson. She was a retired secretary in the US Army.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her siblings William Edwin Henson, Jean Ray Servey, Randolph Henson, Sally Lewis, George Amos Henson, Rowena Ruth Henson, Elmer Jay Henson, Kenneth Drew Henson, and Clara Francis Johns.
Survivors include her siblings Linda (Bill) Sloan, Bobby (Ann) Henson, and Mary LeVarier; sisters in law Alice Henson and Delores Henson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Lucy loved the staff at the Jordan Center for treating her like family.
The family would like to thank Dr. Klein and Three Rivers for the wonderful care they took of Lucy.
A memorial will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lawrence County Senior Citizens Center.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Henson and her family.
