This week Louisa Rotary members visited the Lawrence County High School for their weekly meeting. The refreshing outing to LCHS coupled with lunch prepared by the Culinary students was an amazing way to spend the hour.
The meeting began with President Lindsey Case acknowledging the Culinary Arts Program and introducing Deanna West, Teacher of the Culinary Arts and Brad West, Engineering teacher and Department Head over the Vocational Department who said a few words thanking the community and talking a bit about how business owners make those important programs possible.
The rest of the meeting was enjoying the “ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL” food prepared by the students and going around the room while everyone introduced themselves and the company they represent.
The Rotarian turnout for the event filled every chair in support of the students with everyone seemingly pleased with the talented bunch of cooks that worked so hard on the meal. They had a plethora of food with fruit trays with dip, chicken salad on croissants and a dessert that no one could resist, butterfinger cake. Did I mention the cake? With that, Lindsey Case ended the weekly meeting and everyone continued eating and enjoying good company.
