Louisa Rotary…..No Stress Here!!!
The Louisa Rotary Club Weekly Meeting was on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 12PM to 1PM at the First Baptist Church, Louisa, KY.
After the Pledge of Allegiance and The Four Way Test, Rotary President Patton R Hart asked for any birthdays or anniversaries from members. Ellen Taylor, Rotary Secretary and Mike Shapaka, Board Member had birthday’s last week. Pat Hart then introduced Guest Speaker Gregory A. Kiser, Board Member and his Special Guest Heather Compton.
Heather Compton is the Unit Director at Three Rivers Medical Center. Although she holds many titles her newest job fits her personality. Compton is a Military Veteran who has worked at Mountain Comprehensive Care and Pathways in Out-Patient Care.
Ms. Compton asked everyone to look at photos on our cell phones while she asked the question, “How do you refill your cup?” she asked and discussed the topic of “Stress.”
So everyone had different photos that put a good thought in our day. Compton touched on toxic and tolerable stress we encounter whether we are working in the home or out we can help ourselves to relax. We have to tap into keeping our cup refilled.
Heather Compton asked “What do you do at work to relieve stress?” Sherry Compton commented, “Leave!” (Chuckles) We can hold ourselves responsible for our choices and be mindful of our filled cup. Important to remember that we have to conduct self-care, Heather Compton said.
Pat Hart ended the meeting by calling for any comments related to the good of Rotary. Comments were made randomly about The Girl’s and Boy’s in the District basketball Finals, last night the Girl’s played and Won and tonight the Boy’s play in the Basketball Finals at Floyd Central. (Go LCHS Bulldog’s)
