Kentucky State Police Arrest Louisa Resident For Sex Crimes
LOUISA, Ky. (November 21, 2023) – On November 21, 2023, The Kentucky State Police, in collaboration with the West Virginia Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Ashland Police Department, arrested Jerod Kelly on Old River Road in Louisa. Kelly is charged with 10 counts of distribution of obscene matter to minors 1st Offense, 10 counts of procuring a minor by electronic means, and 1 count of terroristic threatening 3rd degree.
The arrest follows the execution of a search warrant at Kelly’s location, resulting in the seizure of evidence directly linked to the commission of the crimes. The investigation, prompted by an allegation, revealed that Mr. Kelly used Facebook and Facebook Messenger to solicit juvenile females into sending explicit images of themselves.
Jerod Kelly is currently in custody at the Big Sandy Regional jail and will face legal proceedings for his charges. The investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released as they become available. Detective David Boarman is the lead investigator.
