In this year’s state tournament at the Bowling Green Country Club Goble finished the two day event tied for 44th out of 162 Golfers.
Goble won the 12th region last year and has placed in the top 3 Individuals for 4 other times. Goble spearheaded the Bulldog Golf team and inspired others to take up the game over his 15 years on the links.
Goble is going to Eastern Kentucky University and doing PGA Management. He is undecided on playing for the team but will still be in the field of golf.
Along with Sophomore Lady Bulldog Golfer Ashley Hayes, Goble was recently named to the Ashland Daily Independent All Area Team. It was the fifth straight year for Goble.

GOLFER’S COMMENTS
“… My career in golf is definitely seen as a long one, but it feels as if it’s gone by so fast. It’s hard to realize that high school golf is over now. When I started I was very nervous to be such a little guy on a high school team, but it became one of the most fun and interesting things that I’ve done. I had fun with the game of golf but I had a better time being with people I have met through the game.”
“… I was really influenced by my father. He introduced me to the game and taught me everything. He was the biggest reason for my success in golf. I have to thank all of the coaches that have taught me so many things about golf and life in general. Eddie Dixon, was my first coach and I’m so glad he introduced me to the team and showed me many life values. Another person I would like to thank is my coach Brian Akers who has been more than a coach but a friend and a mentor. Lastly, I would like to thank my friends and family and teammates for all the support and memories that we have made.”
