COACH’S COMMENTS
“…I am so proud of both teams, they really competed and gave their best Saturday. They have started a great foundation for our program to build on. It’s been a long time since Lawrence County Cross Country has had this type of success overall and it’s due to these athletes hard work. We all are excited for next weekend and glad we get to experience and compete at State.”
Congrats LC Cross Country!!! I have watched, bc my child has been a part of this team, for a few years now. I love how dedicated our coaches have been to making this program better each and every year. It has went from a program that was just there to a program to be respected and taken seriously. In coaches’ comments above he gave all the credit to the athletes and never once mentioned himself. And I agree the runners have really worked hard to get to where they are now, but I also think that he deserves the proper recognition also. I have personally witnessed the time and effort he has dedicated to this team. Hopefully they can show up at state on Saturday and compete hard to further bolster the recognition of this program. Good luck and congrats boys and girls!!!!
