Louisa, Ky. — Louisa middle school 8th Grader Blue Fletcher is one of the best wrestlers in the state of Kentucky in his weight class which is 130 pounds. Fletcher is currently ranked number one in his weight class. He has wrestled in 3 tournaments this year and has won all of them.
Blue wrestles for Carr Wrestling Academy out of Lexington. He is a perfect 12-0 this season. First one was the John Hardin invitational in Elizabethtown.
Second win was at KWOA which was held at Taylor County high school. And the most recent one was the Battle of the Brave at Union County high school.
At this time they do not offer wrestling in the Lawrence Co. school district but their have been talks of bringing it back in the future. At one time the wrestling program produced a couple of state champions at the high school level.
Fletcher is also a standout football and baseball player.
