BREAKING THE LAW-lITERALLY: DAMAGE WAS DONE TO A MARTIN COUNTY JAILER TRANSPORT VEHICLE AFTER A LOUISA, KY. MAN, TODD WHITT, 36, WHO HAS BEEN INCARCERATED SINCE JUNE 2021, KICKED OUT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW IN AN ATTEMPT TO ESCAPE FROM CUSTODY AFTER A COURT HEARING ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 11,
A prisoner has more on his rap sheet after kicking out a window of a transport vehicle in an attempt to escape Tuesday, the Martin County Sheriff’s Department reports.
Todd Whitt, 35, of Louisa is now facing charges of escape and criminal mischief on top of two counts of attempted murder following two stabbings he committed last year.
In early June 2021, Todd Whitt was arrested following a pair of stabbings that started at a home along Buffalo Horn Road in Louisa, Kentucky, located near the Lawrence County/Martin County line.
At the time of the incidents, deputies stated that Todd Whitt stabbed a woman inside her home. When she ran to a nearby home in search of help, deputies said that Todd Whitt followed her and ended up stabbing a neighbor of the woman as well.
Todd Whitt was transported safely in custody in a second Martin County jail transport vehicle and was taken back to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville in Johnson County.
Well…I seem to have noticed a pattern. The Martin county jailer can’t seem to transport prisoners, without getting his ass whipped, his car stolen or something. Could it be time for a new jailer.
Maybe it’s time for the entire Martin County Sheriff’s office to be taken over by someone more competent.
But don’t mess it up like they did the water department.
Boone, is a good jailer and does his best to treat everyone with decency and respect. Im not sure which Jailer this was in question but this happens and it cannot be helped. These people are there for a reason, especially violent offenders, so they definitely aren’t going to obey the law, especially after that sentencing and the time he is facing.
