Strickland will be playing defensive back . Not for sure on a major but thinking pretty hard about going into education and also coaching.

PLAYER’S COMMENTS
“… I would say what attracted me was the connection the coaches try to get with their players . They stay very connected through the whole process and answer questions and help any way possible. I signed because I felt like it would benefit me the most and would be the best fit for me.”
“… Being a Bulldog isn’t just being a part of a football team or just playing football with a bunch of dudes because you have to . Being a Bulldog is being a part of a family . I feel like I could call any of those boys if I need anything and they would do anything they could to help me and I would do the same for them . And that isn’t just the players that’s goes for the coaches too . Being a Bulldog is just being a part of a big family and I am just blessed and thankful to be able to say I was apart of a great program like that and I wish nothin but the best for the rest of the team and the further bulldogs and now they just need to go and finish what we have started this year.”
“… First I want to thank god for him allowing me to be able to do this , my family for supporting me through anything and everything. My friends for always being their. Everybody I was blessed to take the field with everyday and my coaches who helped push me to be the best I could possibly be.”

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Very happy and proud of Alex for continuing his academic and athletic career at UVA-Wise. This is a great opportunity for Alex to compete and play at a prestigious NCAA Division II School. Virginia Wise is not only getting a great football player, they are getting an even better young man. I have no doubt that over the next several years Alex will make a profound impact on not only the football program, but also the school.”
“… Alex was able to produce a bunch of great stats and plays over the course of his career at Lawrence County, but the stat that sticks out the most to me, is the fact that our record with him as our quarterback was 12-3. He is a winner!”
