Langley, Ky — Mackenzie Methax hit a home run and Lawrence Co. ( 13-5 ) wrapped up the #1 seed in the 58th District with a 7-2 victory over Floyd Central ( 0-10 ) Monday on the road.
Methax and Ashley Hayes were in the circle for the Lady Bulldogs who moved to 5-0 in 58th District Play.
Lillian Kinser had 3 hits, Halli Caudill stole four bases, Kensley Feltner tripled, Hayes RBI.

Alli Triplett threw a complete game in the circle to defeat 15th Region Rival Pikeville ( 12-6 ) in pool play of the Lyndel Potter Memorial Tournament.
The Lady Dawgs scored both runs in the first inning, Halli Caudill doubled and scored when Amber Triplett grounded out and the next hitter Mackenzie Methax hit a Home run. Kensley Feltner had 2 hits. Triplett and Methax also singled later in the game.

In the final game of pool play in the Lyndel Potter Memorial Tournament the Lady Dawgs fell to the 11th Region foe who improved to 15-5.
Mackenzie Methax drove in Amber Triplett for the lone Lady Bulldog run. Alli Triplett singled. Ashley Hayes went 5 innings in the circle.
Garrard Co. 6 Lawrence Co. 0 ( Saturday )
In the third place game and third game of the day for Lawrence Co. in the Lyndel Potter Memorial Tournament. Garrard Co. improved to 13-3 on the season.
Mackenzie Methax had the only two Lady Bulldog hits in the contest.
Lawrence Co. will return to action Thursday when they travel to Shelby Valley.

COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Very sluggish, kids are tired. We threw a couple different kids tonight. I didn’t want to throw Alli Triplett tonight. We faced some really good pitching over the weekend and then we come up here and we just didn’t adjust to the slower pitching for whatever reason.”
“… It’s been a tough stretch for us with the Beach trip and then the Lyndel Potter Memorial Tournament over the weekend. We only have one game the rest of the week so hopefully we can get some rest and get healed up.”
